About Us

We work on a referrals-only basis to provide our Moses basket starter packs and other essential items, beds, cots and clothing to families in need. We do this by working closely with referral agencies including midwives, health visitors, social care workers and other charities in order to provide a safe, reliable service that people can trust.

We are co-funded by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and Barnsley Council’s Great Childhoods Ambition, and made possible through the Barnsley Foodbank Partnership.

We are open for donation drop offs on Wednesdays – please contact us for more details. Collections are by appointment only by referral agents.

Please scroll down to our donations lists to see what we can accept.

Get Help

We work by professional referral only.

We take referrals from any organisation working with families. This includes midwives, social workers, health visitors, charities, churches and community organisations.

Our wider bundle provision is currently for families with 0-3 month old babies.

Families

If you feel like you need help please do not hesitate to contact your midwife, health visitor, social care professional or other charity or organisation that is supporting you. They will be able to make a referral on your behalf. If you have not seen your health visitor for a while or do not know how to contact them, contact your GP or local Family Hub who will be able to tell you who this is and how to contact them.

Make a Referral

To make a referral please contact our centre on the contact details below – we can accept referrals over the phone or via email. Alternatively, please complete a referral form and send it to babybasicsbarnsley@gmail.com and we will be in touch with any queries and to confirm your referral.
