On Friday 20 February, Baby Basics UK had the honour of welcoming HRH The Princess Royal to our headquarters. It was such a special day for the team at Baby Basics UK and Baby Basics Sheffield, and a powerful moment to share the reality of baby bank support and the growing need for our services across the UK.
Her Royal Highness spent time talking to staff and volunteers about the work we do to support families in Sheffield and across the UK. Her Royal Highness also met Christopher Money, co-founder of Kit & Kin, who has been supplying nappies to Baby Basics since HRH The Princess of Wales’ ‘Supporting Baby Banks Initiative’ visit in 2020, helping us meet the needs of families across the country.
We are thankful to Save the Children and Baby Bank Alliance for inviting us to be part of HRH The Princess Royal’s visit to Sheffield. Opportunities like this to share our work and highlight the vital need for baby banks throughout the UK make such a difference.
