Volunteering with Baby Basics at the warehouse is about more than sorting donations – it’s about being part of a supportive, welcoming team that helps ensure families get the essentials they need.

Sally
“I’ve been volunteering at the Baby Basics warehouse for 4 years now since retiring. I love the people who volunteer – we are a friendly, eclectic bunch who love a laugh! Though some faces have changed it’s always been a great team. Nice to help out such an amazing charity.
Give it a go!!!”
Sarah
“I have loved volunteering in the warehouse at Baby Basics. It gives me a great opportunity to give back to the community whilst making me part of a team in the best possible way. You are completely integrated with the small number of paid staff and the Project Coordinators go above and beyond to make you feel valued and included. It’s my favourite day of the week!”
Nigel
“I think volunteering if you find yourself with some spare time is good for both physical and mental health. I like the BB warehouse because it’s a friendly place with a small team of interesting people and from a wide age group and backgrounds. Hours can be flexible so I never feel I am letting anyone down if I cannot go in for any reason. I have been there for over two years and I wanted something that was practical and useful. Whilst we never see the user group where donations go to, but we know from the feedback from our partners throughout the UK, is that each item is desperately needed and appreciated. Work in the warehouse can be varied, and we are always excited by the items donated from our generous corporate sponsors. Anyone who has had a baby or has had occasion to purchase baby things knows just how expensive even the essentials are.”
