Baby Basics Eastbourne
Baby Basics Eastbourne is a dedicated baby bank supporting families in the local community by providing essential items for newborns and young children. Guided by our belief in compassion and justice and through generous donations of pre-loved clothing, equipment and other necessities, the charity ensures that families facing financial hardship have access to the vital resources needed to care for their little ones. From prams and cots to nappies and baby clothes, Baby Basics Eastbourne helps to ease the pressures of parenthood, offering practical support to those who need it most. By working closely with health professionals and support services, the organization ensures that donations reach families in crisis, giving every child the best possible start in life.

About Us
We run alongside and out of the Eastbourne Foodbank. We also work closely with midwifes, health visitors, social care, schools and nurseries and other charities to provide a safe, reliable service that people can trust.
We are located at the Eastbourne Foodbank, Unit 3, 55 Brampton road Eastbourne East Sussex BN22 9AF.
We are open for referrals Mon to Wed 9am – 3pm.
We are open for donations Mon to Fri between 9am – 2pm.
Meet the Team
We have an amazing team of volunteers who work very hard to process all the donations that come into us. They make sure that all the clothing going out to the families we support are freshly washed and ironed. They also cheerfully sort through prams, cots and toys, bedding, books and shoes. We have volunteers of all ages and stages of life. Busy mums, who volunteer a couple of hours where they can to fit around school hours. Older folk who enjoy the reward of bundling up our clothing, bedding, toy and toiletry packages with a great amount of care and students who come to give a few hours back to our community when they are off timetable. We are incredibly grateful for these wonderful humans, without whom we would simply not be able to run this service.

Give Help
See latest donation listDonating secondhand items
90% of what we provide is high quality pre-loved items.
We would kindly ask that all items of clothing are washed and labelled into age size before being bagged up and brought into us. This greatly increases the speed in which we are able to process donations.
We update the items that we are in most need of on a weekly basis. This can be followed through our social media channels.
Please only donate to us the items on our list below, as items that can’t be used by us takes extra time to sort and pass on elsewhere.
Baby Basics Eastbourne will use donated items in the best way to support families in need. In times of excess donations we reserve the right to pass on to other charities or sell items to help raise vital funds to sustain and grow the charity’s work.
*This does NOT include corporate national donations*
